Everyone does it!

Most men and women shave at least one thing on there body weather its legs, back, neck, face, chest,  or the down low (ha ha). But there's a key to get that silky smooth skin instead of cuts and scrapes that burn all day long. There's also different methods.. some more painful then others like waxing, the only good thing that comes from it, is that it last the longest other then laser hair removal that is permanent removal. there's also razors and hair removal creams which i happen to like although the smell is horrendous!

Here are some key tips to shaving:

  • Never shave dry skin! use a shaving cream or hot water because that will open your pores and you'll have an easier shave
  • If you do use a shaving cream find one that has good moisturizers and as for men get one that's ideal for your skin weather its oily, dry, or combination.
  • experiment with different razors until you find the right one for you, you can always ask for samples on the vendor website.
  • change your razors on a regular basis, or else you'll be more prone to cuts and scrapes
  • make sure to exfoliate your skin before shaving it removes all the dead skin cells. if you don't want to spend money on an exfoliator make your own using sea salt and sunflower oil!
  • when your shaving make sure you shave in the direction your here grows, for example: when shaving your legs start from your ankles up when shaving your armpits shave every which way because hear grows wild down there(ha ha)
  • After your down shaving apply a good moisturize because your skin can become very dry, and as for men use a good after shave.
  • to avoid ingrown hairs always exfoliate your skin:) if you always get ingrown hairs there's a product called tend skin that you can get in stores.
  • you can always consider waxing or lazer hair removal which both last longer then shaving.
  • the only downfall with lazer removal is price.
  • and once again don't forget to moisturize!!!!

Some of my favorite products when it comes to shaving is Nair or Veet because i can just rub it on me and wipe it off, it takes some time to get use to the smell. With razors i use Venus and hasn't done me wrong! What are some good products you like to use? please let me know!
